The idea
Your heat pump works with the coldest air there is. Give it better air.
An air-source heat pump collects heat from the outdoor air. The colder that air is, the harder the compressor has to work and the more electricity it uses.
At the same time, every home lets conditioned indoor air escape through ventilation. Ecoviq captures that air on its way out and guides it through a short wall duct to the intake side of the outdoor unit: warmer air in heating mode, cooler air in cooling mode.
- Indoor exhaust air. WarmCool conditioned air leaves the room through a small inlet.
- Short wall duct. The air is guided through the wall instead of being lost outdoors.
- Outdoor unit intake. The air reaches the heat exchanger side of the outdoor unit.
- Exhaust air. After use, the air is released outdoors as usual.

Questions before you order
Will Ecoviq work with my heat pump?
Ecoviq is designed for existing, suitable split air conditioners and air-source (air-to-air) heat pumps. The exact installation depends on your building, wall construction and where the outdoor unit is located. If you are unsure, send us a message before ordering.
Do I need a technician?
The solution is designed for self-installation. It involves a short duct through an exterior wall, so follow the Installation Guide and your local building, electrical, fire-safety and ventilation rules. Where local regulations require professional work, use a qualified installer.
Does it modify my heat pump?
No. The concept normally requires no changes to the refrigerant circuit, compressor, electronics or software of your heat pump.
How much will I save?
Savings depend on your climate, indoor and outdoor temperatures, airflow, heat pump efficiency, operating hours, installation and electricity price. Use the energy saving calculator for an estimate for your area. Figures on this website are illustrative, not guaranteed.
Does it work for cooling too?
Yes. In cooling mode the outdoor unit gets cooler indoor exhaust air, which improves the conditions in which it releases heat.
What exactly am I buying?
A personal end-user licence for one installation at one address, access to the official Installation Guide and your individual licence number. You are not buying the patent or other intellectual-property rights. See the End-User Licence Agreement.
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay €49.90 once. If you want to install Ecoviq at another property, a second licence is available at 50% off.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, until we start supplying the digital content. At checkout you ask to receive your licence right away, and the right of withdrawal ends once supply has started. Read the Refund and Withdrawal Policy.
